Closed loop ground source geothermal has been used in commercial heating and cooling applications for over 40 years. This presentation will cover both the basics and geothermal innovations in applications. Dave Hermantin will cover design considerations for large commercial scale building applications, from early feasibility through operation and long-term monitoring.
Dave has over 25 years of experience designing geothermal systems. He has designed thousands of tons of geothermal capacity in NY, New England, and the U.S. He was responsible for designing geothermal well systems on NYC landmark projects such as St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the landmarked Beresford Building. Dave has been very active in local and State decarbonization thinktanks and stakeholder groups. At Brightcore, Dave leads the geothermal division and is focusing on technological innovation and technology transfer from international markets.
